Fiji Life Fitness is more than just a fitness center.
The idea is to create a health community where everyone feels welcome and can enjoy our different activities and facilities.

History behind

Both Michelle and I came to Fiji about a year ago, where we both were volunteers. We continued the journey by working in the health promotion sector.

During our work, we fall in love with Fiji. The friendly people and the culture came under our skin and we decided to continue that journey by opening up a Lifestyle Centre – Fiji Life Fitness.

Fitness is not about being skinny and big muscles – Fitness is all about achieving a healthier lifestyle and the possibility to have fun while you are working out.

Michelle, I, and our team is excited to welcome you in the fitness-center, where we hope you will enjoy our offers.

My name is Michelle, and from Denmark. I originally come to Fiji as volunteer in a care project. I later worked within health promotion and that is when Nina and I decided to start the gym. In September i will continue my studies and take an online course in Business administration.

I love sports and have been practicing several once however gymnastic have always been my big passion. I been doing gymnastic since I was 3 years old and coach since I was 16.

Nina

My name is Nina Joergensen and i am from Denmark.

I have a degree in health promotion and global studies and that brought me to Fiji where I worked in the area of health promotion. Therefore, it came natural to take it to the next level and create a fitness-center right here in Fiji and in Nadi.

Further, I love playing soccer and I play for the Women Nadi soccer team and coach a girl team.

Leony

(Front desk, Instructor in Hot Hula Dance and kids gymnastics)

I’m Leony Veronica Heatley. I love dancing and socialising with people, reading and surfing net. I’ve been dancing ever since I was a little girl my mom used to teach me all the time.

I have worked in tourism and hospitality, I used to teach Hot Hula Dance in Denarau and a various of other places as my hobby.

Now I’m back into doing something I love with Fiji Life Fitness.  

Gen

I’m from a small town- North of Quebec (French province of Canada).

I have always been very active; done gymnastics, ran a few half marathons and trail races, and coached Zumba since 2012. 

I was very excited to come here and get the chance to help the Fijian people to get a healthier lifestyle and share my passion for Zumba.

Anish Anand

My name is Anish Anand Prakash. I have passion to meet and greet people and socialise. By Profession i am Veterinary and love animals.

I love to interact with members and co-workers and help them reach their fitness goals any way that I can.

Thomas

My name is Savenaca Tomasi Jnr,  by profession i am a Civil Engineer by trade. My passion to meet and greet people has landed me a role at Fiji Life Fitness as a front desk role.

My previous experience was in restaurant and bar and i love to give big Bula smile to everyone who sees me at Fiji Life Fitness.  

I enjoy  playing volleyball, singing, reading books and being Fit and fresh.

Josefa

(Personal trainer, instructor in kids gymnastic, Core Cruncher ABS and Body sculpt)

My name is Josefa Cokanasiga, I am a Physical Education Teacher and have been coaching for 12years.

I am certified and have coached Rugby both Club and Provisional level, IRB Strength and Conditioning, Swimming, beginner Gymnastic, Soccer and worked as a personal trainer.

I have a certificate in first aid.

Keeping fit is very important to me.

Mathew Heartfelt

When I first came to Fiji I decided I wanted to connect with myself better. The focus of my teaching now is to make yoga simple for anybody at any age.

Since then I've taught one-on-one, I've taught a class of 50 at a festival, I've taught a couple regularly at home, and a few other odd classes here and there before teaching at the gym.
For everyone who is struggling to 'find themselves' I'd say the journey is through their own breath and body and truly connecting with their self.
